Cotton Incorporated
Herbicide Stewardship
As a Cotton LEADS™ founding member, Cotton Incorporated continues its longstanding tradition of outreach promoting responsible cotton production. Responsible production includes the safe and conscientious management of all crop inputs.
Herbicides, for example, must be applied and stored in full compliance with all label requirements to protect:
- the crops that receive herbicide application, as well as crops in proximity;
- the technology of the input, to ensure its continued availability;
- the environment, and
- the reputation of U.S. cotton as a reliable and responsibly-produced crop.
