The 2024 FABRICAST™ collection features diverse fabric groupings centering on sustainability, performance and inspiration.

The inherent sustainability of cotton fabrics is enhanced through unique dye techniques and finishing applications. Mineral pigments, derived from naturally occurring minerals, are used to garment dye a range of 100% cotton knit and woven fabrics. Ozone technology is used to explore different techniques to manipulate the color of 100% cotton fabrics.

Opportunities are explored to expand cotton presence in performance markets. Sun protection for outdoor performance apparel is typically a synthetic market, but the addition of a UV absorber to cotton fabrics allows cotton to have competitive UV protection. Flat knits in dense constructions are napped to provide insulating properties. Robust fancy twills are brushed for a peached hand that lends themselves to upholstery and apparel applications. Stretch blister knits that mimic a twill weave provide thermal insulative properties through fabric construction. Knit and woven fabrics are enhanced with the addition of STORM COTTON™ Technology, giving a performance attribute for home and apparel applications.

Cotton fabrics with visual appeal are designed for inspiration. Flat knits are embellished with novelty space dyed yarns. Laser etching techniques are used to create unique surface effects on knit terry fabrics. Fancy dobby weaves have exaggerated surface texture created by the weave structure and relax finishing. Flat knits using novelty yarns in chunky stitches create winter cottons. Embroidery effects embellish basic cotton knit and woven fabrics.
